Kurt Cobain Jag-Stang

The Jag-Stang, a frankenstein combination of Jaguar and Mustang parts which Kurt brought to Fender Custom Shop in 1993, embracing his favourite parts of the two guitars is getting a reissue in aid of the 30th anniversary of Nevermind. Featuring a red alder body and 24″ short-scale designed for easy fretting and neck navigation, Cobain’s signature Jag-Stang comes standard with vintage-style single-coil and custom humbucking pickups which they say will help you dial in his unique tone on this interesting and iconic build. Kurt Cobain’s Signature Jag-Stang will be available October 2021 in both left and right handed editions.

J Mascis Telecaster

Dinosaur Jr. guitarist J Mascis also receives a Signature Series in the form of his primary writing weapon, the Telecaster. A deep cut from J’s highly productive 90’s period, when Mascis wrote some of Dinosaur Jr’s most celebrated anthems. This Top Loaded Telecaster comes with custom pickups, a mirrored chrome pickguard and road-worn maple neck and hardware. The J Mascis Signature Telecaster comes in a Dazzling Blue Sparkle finish and is available August 2021.

30th Anniversary Screamadelica Stratocaster

Fans of Primal Scream will adore the new 30th anniversary Screamadelica Stratocaster. Its body and pick guard display the instantly recognisable cover art of the album from the Scottish rockers. It features a modern “C”-shaped maple neck, medium jumbo frets and 9.5” radius pau ferro fingerboard. The strat has vintage-voiced single-coil pickups, for a classic Fender tone. This model will be available in limited quantities November 2021.

Cory Wong Stratocaster

Grammy-nominated, Minneapolis based guitarist Cory Wong gets a Signature guitar as well with a Funk favourite, the Stratocaster. Boasting a smaller size than a regular Fender Strat, the Cory Wong Signature makes it more comfortable for smaller players. Featuring signature Seymour Duncan pickups, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and a push/pull pot on the second tone control that bypasses the flick switch and sets it to “Position 4”. The guitar comes with a hair tie, used for muting the tremolo springs to obtain Cory’s unique sound and drops July 2021.
